Writing

Image
Writing is something I find extremely hard. If you follow this blog, or keep track of it at all, you may have noticed that I haven't posted in forever. That is because writers block is a pain. Of course I could be like any basic person and make an excuse. Hey! I got a job, so I can't write much anymore. Or maybe something more like, oh, school started up again and I've been struggling. Yet, despite the job and school I do have plenty of free time. So, I will be truthful. Lately, I haven't had much to write about. Whether it be for a book, or for my blog. So, I am now making this post to whine and complain about how hard writing is. Also I have no basis for this post so I might get sidetracked.  Now, writing is honestly one of the more complex things to do. I mentioned before working on a book. I was doing fairly well, then it crashed. I haven't worked on that book, nor even looked at it in months. It's sad actually, as I was making something. Especial...

Anime Recommendations

Image
Anime is one of my favorite things to watch in my spare time - other than The Office, of course. I have been watching a lot of it lately, and decided to make a list of anime that I recommend. 1. Death Note This anime is a very popular one, and happened to be one of the first ones I ever watched. It is a mystery/action/drama mix of emotions that has you hooked from the very first episode. It all begins when a kid named Light picks up a notepad labeled 'Death Note'. The Death Note is supposedly a killing tool, able to kill anyone as long as you write their name and think of their face as you write it. You can even add the way they die, if you wanna be creative. Of course, the original owner of the notebook is a shinigami called Ryuk. Anndd, there is another lady with a Death Note. Also, Light goes by Kira to try and hide all the killings he is doing. This anime is definitely a roller-coaster of emotions.  2. My Hero Academia (Boku No Hero Academia) This ani...

Summer

Image
Why, hello! As you can probably tell, I did drop this blog for quite some time. I had made it around the time of school, specifically around exams. It was a very stressful time for me, and since then I have had a busy summer. I had forgotten about this blog for a while up until now, when I actually have some free time to write! So, here I am, writing a blog post about my summer so far - and what I have planned yet. The first part of my summer was very eventful. I went to my friend's house for a week, and we went to pride together! After that week, she had come back to my house. That was another fun week full of kayaking, swimming, and watching stupid television shows that make us laugh. Two weeks with your best friend is tiring, but super fun! After those two weeks I just stayed around the house and relaxed. I binged on some of my favorite television shows, managing to finish the last 4 seasons of The Office, and even get to season 6 of Supernatural. I also played a lot of ...

panic! at the disco review

Image
Hello everyone! So as some of you may know by now, Panic! at the Disco has just released 2 new singles for their new album 'Pray for the Wicked.' As I have already listened to the songs about 4 times each in the 30 minutes they have been released, I thought that I might just do a review.  1. (F**k A) Silver Lining This song took me by surprise. It starts out with a distorted voice, and then quickly jumps into an upbeat song. It already had me dancing, and falling in love with the song. It is surely different than anything else Brendon has ever made, but it is still so unique. From the way he hits the high notes perfectly in the backing vocals, to the way he has the jazzy music.  The lyrics are very creative, and not something you would normally hear on the radio. A 'silver lining' is the brighter side to a problem. So he is essentially saying that he doesn't want a happy ending ('fuck a silver lining'). One of my favorite lyrics would be ...

internet friends

Image
internet friend: someone you meet online over common interests, and begin a relationship despite being states or even countries away Internet friends are something I tend to have a lot of. In fact, the number of internet friends I have outnumbers the real life friends I have. There is just something special about having internet friends to me. I don't really know why I tend to draw to people online rather than people in real life. Maybe it is the fact that you don't really have to go out and make plans with them. Or the excitement of getting to meet them one day. Whatever it is, it just makes me feel happy.  One thing I like about having internet friends is that you can just sit on your laptop and talk. You don't have to plan to go out to Taco Bell, or have to buy tickets to see a movie with them. You can just text them over Skype, or Instagram. Plus, it takes away the anxiety of 'do I look ok?' or 'was that dumb to say?' Instead, you can bond w...

Introduction

Image
introduction: the act of introducing or the state of being introduced   Greetings and salutations. My name is Lauryn and I am the one who has seemingly created this blog. Since this blog just happens to be labeled 'Introduction' I guess that is what I will be doing.  Well to start off, my name is Lauryn, as I already stated. I am 14 years old, and just so happen to be turning 15 in November. I am quite tall for my age and gender, which I guess isn't all that interesting.  I am in about 100 fandoms, all very different from each other. I tend to listen to a lot of musicals, and also a lot of alternative/indie bands. I have recently been listening to more of a screamo genre lately as well.  I like to read, although I don't do it very often. I write more than I read, hence why I created this blog. I have a Wattpad account which is pretty empty. On there I write fanfictions which aren't the best, but I do update almost every day. I also have been w...
